Ocotober 02' 2019 Notebook distribution at Malwani, Malad (West)

October 03’ 2019

Shreenath Charitable Trust heartily thanks Mr. Ganesh Bharyawala, Founder of Arvachin-Campus, and his team for making us part of the grand successful event of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations and Educational kit distribution program (Notebooks & School stationary) to the needy students from the slums of Ambojwadi.

Along with the educational kit, students were served snacks and juices during the cultural program. Welcome speech by one your student covered elaborate information about the importance of the day and provided ample information about the projects done by the Shreenath Charitable Trust. We warmly appreciate such a fabulous welcome.

Malwani’s one of the densely populated slum pocket in the metropolitan city of Mumbai. Most of the people are migrants, daily wage labours, domestic helpers, rickshaw/taxi drivers, and other with meager source of income. One third of Malwani’s people live in extreme poverty. With so many challenges, there are thousands of children in Malwani, who are unable to pursue education due to lack of funds and other constraints such as poverty, cultural barriers and gender inequality and exorbitant high fees in elite schools.

Children trapped in poverty are forced to drop out and find ways to survive, working 12-hour days.

“Arvachin-Campus” began in 2016 through Pre-School and Bridge Courses, providing quality and holistic academic education to the slum children, most of these kids are first generation learners and are planning to start the Primary Section (Std. I to IV) from next academic year

On October 02’ 2019 Shreenath Charitable Trust arranged program me for the students of Arvachin-Campus wherein they were provided Free Educational Accessories (notebooks, and a pouch containing 2 pencils, eraser, sharpener, scale) along with snacks and juices.

On behalf of Shreenath Charitable Trust, President Tushar Shah, Founder Member Kalpana Shah, Founder Member Tejal Shah & Harish Mathur with his family attended the grand event.

We thank everyone, who directly or indirectly helped us and provided their unconditional support, resources and hospitality for making this event possible and a huge success.

With the help of generous people like you, we look forward to arrange and associate with many such benevolent and philanthropic activities for the community

Shreenath Charitable Trust
President : Tushar Shah
